Now in its eighth year the annual IMB Cool Community Classic is one of Sutherland Shire’s biggest community fundraising events and is a great day out for the family.

Event patron, the Hon. Scott Morrison said “All the charities and community organisations we are supporting through the Classic are run by dedicated staff, often volunteers, who make tremendous efforts to care for our fellow Shire residents and help make a difference to the Shire’s wellbeing.”

This year the event included a competitive carnival between the four Bate Bay Surf Clubs, an open water swim, a beach soccer competition, the 2015 Sylvania BMW Gala Charity Dinner, fundraising raffle and the community carnival.

The community carnival was held on Sunday 22 November and wrapped up the event – and what a finale of the event it was. Kookaburra Kids was delighted to participate and hosted one of the charity stalls. It was a great day and we had lots of fun handing out balloons, spreading the word about Kookaburra Kids, taking photos with the crowd and selling lolly bags from our Kookaburra Kids lolly bar.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our stall to say hi and who purchased a lolly bag or made a donation. We also are sending out enormous thanks once again to our volunteers who helped out on the day.

Special thanks must also go to all of the IMB Cook Community Classic sponsors and supporters who make this event possible. Read more about the IMB Cook Community Classic on their website.
