It was one of the hottest days of the school holidays, but it didn’t stop our Kookaburra Kids from braving the heat to trek around the fun putt putt courses at Ermington.
Over 20 kids and 10 supervisors did two rounds of golf with two of those kids achieving a hole in one on the elusive last hole while there were another four holes in one around the other courses.
Major strategic Partner Payce were the proud sponsors of the activity day and even brought some of their staff along to share in the fun with the kids, who each took a group around the courses. There was some friendly competition amongst the groups too, with everyone trying get the ball into the hole with the least amount of hits! Kookaburra leaders also joined in the friendly battle with groups of the kids, while Kookaburra staff helped everyone stay cool, spraying them all with water around the course.
So after over 500 holes of golf in 40 degree heat, we managed to get through 18 pizzas and close to 40 litres of water! But it was the 30 icy poles that were enjoyed immensely by all the kids and adults alike! Golf on a hot day makes for hungry and thirsty work!
Once again, a big thank you to Payce for hosting this great activity day at Putt Putt Ermington for
