ROSE AND STELLA COX SHINE IN DAILY TELEGRAPH

The Matt Pearson from the Daily Telegraph and Inner West Courier wrote a lovely article last week highlighting the roles and responsibilities of children living in families with a mental illness. Whilst Rose and Stella have a wonderful mother to support them they still have the task of caring for her and their father who despite not living with them battles depression on a daily basis.  Not only is Rose caring for Stella and her mother she also  cares for her father when she visits him every second weekend. Rose’s story is not that different to other Kookaburra Kids caring for an unwell parent. We hope this media exposure will bring positive results for the Kookaburra program and its ability to broaden its reach. Read the full article here
