For the second year, Cronulla Surf Academy and Surfing Australia’s Vegemite SurfGroms program provided our Sydney based kids with a surf day at Cronulla Beach. The weather leading up to the day was nothing short of average, however on Wednesday April 16, the sky’s cleared and we were treated to a beautiful sunny day. The kids who attended were so excited to be able to get in the water, although the inclimate weather in the previous days did keep our attendance numbers down from what was expected.

A team of volunteers from the Tradies and St George Foundation came to lend a hand playing beach soccer and helping the kids with their sand castle building. Ray Robinson, Kevin Schreiber and Ken Warburton from Rotary Cronulla made sure the BBQ was on time for the hungry mouths we had to feed.  We are so grateful of Surfing Australia and Cronulla Surf Academy for treating our kids to another wonderful day.
