Support kids to be kids

Kookaburra Kids cannot operate without the generous support and dedication of volunteers.

Volunteers come from many different backgrounds including police officers, nurses, psychologists, teachers, business people and community members. Corporate volunteers find working with Kookaburra Kids a great team building experience. All volunteers who have direct contact with the kids undergo the appropriate Working with Children Checks (WWC) and training.

Some leaders may attend one camp per year, some attend every camp. Kookaburra Kids program owes its success to the variety of skills, knowledge and passion the leaders bring. All leaders are trained prior to camp and undergo the appropriate Working with Children Checks.

The Kookaburra program welcomes more volunteers to join the Kookaburra family, we guarantee an inspiring experience working with some amazing kids and other like minded people. Friendships will be made with your fellow leaders that may last a lifetime.
