Proud 2024 Telethon Beneficiary

April brought a particularly exciting milestone as we kicked off our very first Telethon7 program in Perth.

Our Kookaburra Kids embarked on an unforgettable adventure at Perth Aqua Park, where they bravely tackled the towering slides before engaging in crucial mental health education sessions.

During our chat group sessions, we delved into discussions surrounding each other’s strengths, emphasizing the significance of positive affirmations for fostering good mental health. It was a valuable opportunity for our young participants to reflect on their strengths and cultivate a positive mindset.

Meanwhile, our CEO, Renée Coffey, had the privilege of attending the 2024 Telethon Beneficiary Breakfast alongside our WA Community Engagement Coordinator, Amie O’Brien.

This year, Telethon7 is extending its support to a record-breaking 136 beneficiaries, and the Australian Kookaburra Kids Foundation is honoured to be among them.

In conjunction with this announcement, The West Australian has published an article highlighting the significant impact of our work with families impacted by mental illness in WA.

Our story featured alongside others, showcasing how the generous donations of the WA community are positively transforming the lives of young people across Western Australia.
