BEST NEW AUTHOR 2022
| Dr Virginia Williams has been honoured as BEST NEW AUTHOR at the 2022 Journal of Military and Veterans’ Health Awards for her work with the Australian Kookaburra Kids Foundation. Dr Williams received the award for her paper which looks at changes in perceptions about mental health and help-seeking intentions following a Kookaburra Kids program for young people living in current serving and ex-serving military families. We are immensely proud of her accomplishments and her commitment to making a difference in the lives of young people. We are also very humbled by Dr Williams’ generous donation of her prize money to enable more young people to access Kookaburra Kids’ programs.
