Core Kids vs. Defence Kids: What’s the Difference?
We often get asked about the difference between our Core Kids and Defence Kids programs. Here’s a quick breakdown to help clarify:
Core Kids Program – This program supports young people aged 8-18 impacted by family mental illness. If your family is affected by mental health challenges—even without a formal diagnosis—you’re eligible to express interest in our Core Kids programs.
Defence Kids Program – Designed specifically for the unique needs of young people aged 8-18 from serving and ex-serving Australian Defence Force (ADF) families. If you have a family member who is currently serving or has previously served, you’re eligible for our Defence Kids programs.
Both programs are dedicated to offering the right support to help young people thrive!
