Meet Reene Dahima: Volunteer Extraordinaire!
We’re excited to introduce Reene Dahima, a Kookaburra Kids volunteer who truly embodies the spirit of giving back! Reene, an international student at UniSA, has just been awarded the University of South Australia’s Student Volunteer of the Year Award.
Over the past year, Reene has dedicated more than 200 hours of volunteer work across a range of organizations, making a significant impact in areas such as social reintegration, elderly care, and supporting young people impacted by family mental illness.
With Kookaburra Kids, Reene has contributed to 5 camps, multiple Activity Days, and Connect sessions, leading activities and facilitating meaningful discussions that inspire and uplift. Reene shares, “I enjoy volunteering as it helps me become more inclusive and learn more about myself.”
We’re incredibly proud of Reene and deeply grateful for her energy, dedication, and kindness. Congratulations, Reene, and thank you for everything you do!
